- Educational Qualification (as on 20 February 2026):
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed/D.Ed (or equivalent), OR
- Higher Secondary with 45% + 2-year D.El.Ed (per NCTE 2002), OR
- Higher Secondary with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed, OR
- Higher Secondary with 50% + 2-year Diploma in Special Education, OR
- B.Ed + 6-month Bridge Course (PDPET).
- Must have valid TET Certificate (recognized by Goa Govt).
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in recognized primary schools.
- Knowledge of Marathi (for Marathi Medium) or Konkani (for Konkani Medium) – mandatory Konkani test in exam.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Konkani (pass Konkani language test).
- Age Limit (as on 20 February 2026):
- Maximum: 45 years
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwD (General) – 10 years, PwD (SC/ST) – 15 years, PwD (OBC) – 13 years, Ex-Servicemen – as per rules, Govt Servants – up to 5 years.

Selection Process (Step-by-Step)
- CBT-I (Screening): 60 marks (English/Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, Language-specific) – 75 min (100 min for PwD). Qualifying marks: UR 45%, OBC/PwD 40%, SC/ST 35%. + Mandatory Konkani Test.
- CBT-II: 80 marks (English, Numerical, Reasoning, Language/Grammar, Pedagogy) – 100 min (135 min for PwD).
- Class Demonstration: 10 marks (teach a concept).
- Final Merit: CBT-II + Class Demo marks. No negative marking in CBTs. Shortlisting ratios: 3.5x for CBT-II, 2x for demo.
